Accessibility Statement for the Sugar Shack Café website

The Sugar Shack Cafe website endeavors to provide digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

We have provided Visibility Controls on the site that can be opened and closed. These controls allow the user to change background color, font size and highlight clickable links. These features can also be easily reset by the user.

We have successfully tested this site using the following tools:
• NVDA to determine the ability of the user to use this screen reader to explore all aspects of the website
• WAVE Accessibility Evaluation Tool to evaluate the readability of the website. The result is no errors and no alerts
• Axe Accessibility Evaluation Tool to evaluate the readability of the website. The result is no accessibility violations found in the current state of the page for all pages.
• The W3C CSS Validation Service was successfully completed and the site was awarded the jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/images/vcss-blue plaque.
• All pages have passed the W3C web page validator with 0 errors, 0 warnings and 0 hidden
• This site has been tested to WCAG 2.0 A, AA and AAA as well as ADA Section 508 levels without errors. Issues of background color and text preferences are user selectable with the on-page visibility controls which are persistent.

This site has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS. The site displays correctly in current browsers using modern responsive design techniques and standards compliant HTML/CSS code.
We will continue our efforts to enhance the user experience with priority to the disabled.
